From a Single Chartered Vessel to an Integrated Logistics Partner
Arjunas Shipping B.V. was incorporated in the Netherlands in 2017 as a short-sea shipping operator. The founding idea was straightforward: customers were tired of coordinating a carrier, an agent, a terminal and a customs broker who never spoke to each other. We set out to be the single point of accountability across that whole chain.
That meant adding capability on purpose, not by acquisition. Tank storage allocations followed in 2019. A dedicated terminal handling desk with certified custody transfer came in 2021. AEO-F authorisation in 2023 opened simplified customs procedures for our customers. In-house lift engineering and heavy-lift chartering followed, extending our reach from bulk liquids into out-of-gauge project cargo.
Today we manage storage capacity across partner ARA-range terminals, handle over a thousand vessel movements a year, and serve oil majors, chemical producers, renewable-fuel traders and industrial manufacturers. We are still independent, still based in Nootdorp, and still accountable for both the sea leg and the tank.

Our Mission
To move and store our customers' cargo with complete operational transparency — accurate documentation, metered custody transfer, pre-booked berth windows and a named contact who answers when something changes. We measure ourselves on whether a customer ever has to chase us for information.
Our Vision
To be the independent logistics partner that European traders, refiners and manufacturers call first for combined sea freight and bulk-liquid storage — recognised for safety performance, compliance depth and the reliability of our reporting, not simply for competitive rates.
What Guides Us
Values We Actually Operate By
These are not posters on a wall — they are the rules that decide how a movement gets planned, priced and executed.
Safety First, Without Exception
No commercial target outranks a safe transfer. Every operation runs inside a documented, permitted envelope.
Straight Commercial Dealing
Rates, demurrage terms and storage conditions are set out in writing before cargo moves. No hidden charges afterwards.
Visibility by Default
Customers see the same operational data we do — ullage, berth status and vessel position, not a summary sent next week.
Continuity of Service
Named contacts and written escalation paths, so a disruption at 03:00 is handled by someone who already knows your cargo.
